After disabling the Halo’s firing mechanism and ejecting the remaining Banished forces from the ring, the slipspace portal opened and I’ve been stranded here since. After immobilising it with a Forerunner particle cannon, Jerome plugged Isabel into the system to fire its ventral beam on the Ark, summoning millions of Sentinels which destroyed the ship.Īt that point, Installation 09 launched from the Ark and I was escorted to the control room. To buy us time, Jerome and Isabel took out the Enduring Conviction. I suggested we launch the replacement Halo that was finishing construction in the Ark’s central forge, sending it through slipspace to Alpha Halo’s original location - a place near enough to Reach that it could be within range of a UNSC comms beacon. The Banished’s carrier, Enduring Conviction, then turned its attention on the Spirit of Fire. We took out the portal nodes the Banished had been using to quickly move around the installation, along with War Chief Decimus. We gained access to the Ark’s Cartographer, and Alice led a guerrilla campaign against the Banished to rescue those taken prisoner. From there, we got to work: hit the Banished’s chain of command and find a way to get word back home. The captain roused the crew to action against the Banished to ensure they couldn’t gain control of the Ark. She informed us that, on October 28th, 2558, the portal that links the Ark to Earth shut down without warning and the Banished arrived a month later.
